What's Anchor?

Anchor is an EOS wallet created by Greymass. In Anchor you can "Enable Fuel" and get CPU and NET for transactions. Sounds good, huh?! Then follow this guide to get your Anchor Wallet up and running!

Downloading and installing the Anchor Wallet

The Anchor Wallet is currently available for Windows, Mac, Linux and iOS. This guide will show you how to install Anchor on Windows.

  • First download the Windows version of Anchor from: Always make sure you download from trusted websites!

  • After the file is downloaded proceed with the installation in windows.

Getting started with a new Anchor Wallet

  • Choose "Setup New Wallet"

  • Set a new strong password for your wallet and keep it offline!

  • Choose EOS and other blockchains if you use any other. Then press "Enable 1 blockchains"

  • Select EOS

  • If you still haven't been prompted to do so. At this point, Anchor will ask you to create a new password. That's the password used to access Anchor Wallet.

  • Choose a strong password and keep it safe.

  • Choose "Import Account". If you have Scatter open at this point, Anchor may detect it for you.

  • At this point you can choose to: - Import Private Key - Enable Ledger Support

Importing your EOS Private Key

  • Input your EOS account's Private Key

  • Choose the accounts you want to import

  • Press "Import Account(s)"

  • Enter your wallet's password

  • At this point Anchor will ask you if you want to allow it to integrate with apps. I would recommend choosing "Yes, enable app integrations". This option can be changed later if you wish to do so. Congratulations! You have now added your EOS account to your Anchor Wallet. Now you can:

  • Interact with your funds

  • Enable or Disable "App Integration"

  • Backup your Anchor Wallet

  • Get resources from Greymass FUEL

Importing your EOS account from Ledger

  • Choose "Existing Account"

  • "Enable Ledger Support"

  • Connect your Ledger to your PC and open the EOS app

  • If the previous steps have been done correctly you should now be able to press "Load from Ledger"

  • At this point Anchor will ask you if you want to allow it to integrate with apps. I would recommend choosing "Yes, enable app integrations". This option can be changed later if you wish to do so.

  • Choose the accounts you would like to import from your Ledger and press "Import Account(s)"

Congratulations! You have imported you EOS account from your Ledger Now you can:

  • Interact with your funds

  • Enable or Disable "App Integration"

  • Backup your Anchor Wallet

  • Get resources from Greymass FUEL

Borrowing resources from Greymass Fuel

To take advantage of transactions powered by Greymass Fuel:

  • Click on the "brain" icon on the top right corner of your Anchor Wallet

  • Press "Enable Fuel"

  • Enjoy free transactions and make Ethereum users jealous!

  • And if you want to check how much resources you still have, click on "Resources" on the left menu

Adding custom tokens to your wallet

  • Click on "Home" on the left menu

  • Click on "Tokens"

  • Click on "Manage Tracked Tokens"

  • Search for "effecttokens EFX" and check the box: "Track Token?"

  • Click on "Add Custom Token" on the right upper side

  • For the "Contract Account Name" write: effecttokens

  • For "Contract Asset Symbol" write: NFX

  • Make sure you got it right and click "Confirm Token Addition"
