Metamask - Your BSC Wallet

You can use a few different wallets in the Binance Smart Chain, but the most recommended ones are:

Trust Wallet is an easier wallet to use on the BSC, but with Metamask you can connect to different chains (Ethereum, BSC and Fantom for example). Therefore this guide will be focused on helping you create a new Metamask wallet and connect it to the Binance Smart Chain.

Creating a new Metamask wallet

Downloading Metamask

The Metamask wallet is available on Android, iOS and also on Google Chrome, Brave, Firefox and Edge.

  • To get started go to: https://metamask.io

  • Choose the platform you want to use Metamask on: Browser, iOS or Android

  • Press: "Install Metamask for..."

  • Press: "Get Started"

  • If you are creating a new wallet, press: "Create a Wallet"

  • Agree or Disagree with the terms

  • Create a strong password to unlock your wallet

  • Reveal your Private Key, write it up and store it safely!

Click on your private words in the correct order. I blurred the picture to show it's important to keep it safe!

And you are done!

You can now access your wallet clicking on the little fox on the upper right corner near the address bar.

You can check and copy your wallet address, check your balance, send or receive crypto and add new tokens.

Adding the Binance Smart Chain Mainnet to your Metamask

  • Click on the little fox near your address bar to open your wallet.

  • On the right side of the "Ethereum Mainnet" there's a little circle, click on it.

  • Choose "Settings"

  • Navigate to "Networks"

  • Click "Add Network"

  • Copy the following text:

Network Name: Smart Chain New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/ ChainID: 56 Symbol: BNB Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com

  • Press "Save"

You have now added the Binance Smart Chain to your Metamask!

Your BSC address is the same you use for Ethereum. You can change it back to the Ethereum Mainnet by clicking on the "Networks" tab near your wallet picture. Now we need to add the EFX token to your wallet, so you can see them.
